Spiritual Warfare Scriptures

1. James 4:7-8 — Fight Your Battles through Humility and Purity

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands … and purify your hearts.”

We must begin our warfare with the right heart attitude. Submitting ourselves to God means coming to Him humbly, admitting we are not capable of lasting victories without Him. In every circumstance, God resists the

Divine Grace

by: Willard

01/16/2024

Divine grace is God acting in our life to accomplish what we cannot do on our own. It informs our being and actions and makes them effective in the wisdom and power of God. Hence, grace is not opposed to effort (our actions) but to earning (our attitude).

Paul the apostle, who perhaps understood grace as none other, remarks on his own efforts for Christ: “By the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of the

Follow Jesus’ Manual

by: Willard

Jesus told us explicitly what to do. We have a manual, just like the car owner. He told us, as disciples, to make disciples. Not converts to Christianity, nor to some particular “faith and practice.” He did not tell us to arrange for people to “get in” or “make the cut” after they die, nor to eliminate the various brutal forms of injustice, nor to produce and maintain “successful” churches. These are all good things, and he had something to say about all of them. They wil

Christian Apologetics

by: South Banks Community Church

The Christian attitude in apologetic work consists in three things. The first is to have confidence in God and his truth. We’re not nervous, and God’s not nervous either. You can ask him any question. The only thing that’s required with God is that we be honest. You can’t fool him anyway. I’ve heard people say that you should never ask God for the same thing twice, because that proves that you didn’t believe in him the first time—as if he didn’t know until you asked him t

Prayer Over Israel

by: South Banks Community Church

10/31/2023

Lord, we call a halt to the march of death, murder, and destruction in the Middle East. We cancel all demonic assignments and call forth workers to bring in the harvest.

Satan plans to accelerate the end times in an effort to block the billion-soul harvest. So the Evil One is blowing on the conflict in the Middle East to cause a conflagration that would rob millions of the opportunity to respond to the gospel.

Lord of hosts and angel armies, we come with worship on our lips

Prayers For Israel (2)

Pray with us:

Father, our hearts break as we watch the pain and suffering taking place in Israel and Gaza. Jesus said the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. The principality of Iran, whom You called in Scripture the "Prince of Persia," loves to cause pain and suffering, just as the spirit of Baal does here in America. Many millions are under control.

You have told us that a great revival is coming to that part of the world, with hundreds of millions being saved. You lo

Prayers For Israel

Dear friends, when you pray for Israel, pray the scriptures. Here is an example that you may find helpful:

O Lord God of Israel, You who keep Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. (Psalm 121:) You promised that with all Your heart and all Your soul, You would bring Israel out of all the nations where You had scattered them and that they would dwell safely in their own Land, never to be uprooted again.(Jeremiah 32:41) (Amos 9:15) You said that the nation of Israel would never

The Lord Is with Us

Sometimes when we end up in a certain situation, we’ll say, “Why did God allow this to happen to me?” Then later on, after a few years pass by and we have the hindsight of 20/20, we are able to look back on certain circumstances and see why the Lord did what He did—or why He did not do what we thought He should do.

To be honest, I’m glad that I don’t always know what is going on around me. We may not know the things that are happening in the supernatural as well as the nat

The Blind Leading the Blind

by: South Banks Church

Looking into Luke 6:39 today, it's one of those verses that makes you pause and reflect. It goes like this: "Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into a pit?"

It's a little reminder to be cautious about who we follow. In this age of information overload, it's easy to get swept up by trends, opinions, and advice from all directions. But not all paths lead to the same destination.

The best compass we have is to follow Christ. His teachings are a guide, a sou

Keefe Family Go Fund Me

As we continue to pray for the Keefe family, let’s walk this part of the road in unity with them.

As stated in our earlier post, David was going to be moved to Hospice House, but his blood pressure is down and the nurse feels the transport could harm him more than do any good.

Please consider joining with us in helping them bear the weight of the load they carry by lightening the burden of the cost of Hospice.
